Singapore is a small island nation in the Far East Asia. It name was derived from “Singapura” meaning the land of the lion. Measuring around 43 kms from east to west and 23 from north to south, this nation is small yet beautiful. The most intriguing thing about Singapore is that it is a totally immigrant country. There are no natives of Singapore. The whole of Singapore population hails from India, China and Malaysia. The languauges spoken in Singapore are English, Mandarin, Malay & Tamil. Quite an interesting thing about Singapore is the fact that Tamil is one of the official languages.
